This image was created in a quiet park just north of Washington, DC, where two guinea pig brothers, Sunny and Skye, settled beside a small stream. Although it looks like a private conversation, both were simply waiting for a bell pepper treat being held just outside the frame. The photograph received international recognition and was my highest-scoring entry at the International Pet Photography Awards. Judges described it as “two guinea pigs having a gossip,” a simple moment that turned into a refined and expressive portrait. It was captured in May 2025.
