What are the Factors that Go Into the Cost of Pet Photography?
Photography Speciality - As a professional dog photographer in the DMV, I only photograph dogs and other pets. In fact, I started my pet photography journey by photographing over 2,000 homeless dogs. During this volunteer work, I became laser-focused on the craft of pet photography and invested countless hours into education and practice. I officially started my pet photography business in 2024 and have six international pet photography medals to my name. You can feel rest assured that you’re going to love your dog portraits!

Photography Service and Process - We don’t just show up to the session and I click a button! There’s a lot more behind the scenes that goes on so that our session day goes pawsitively amazing. First, we schedule a quick consultation call. This is just a fun and easy conversation to see if we’re the right fit for each other! You can ask me all the questions, and I might ask you a billion questions about your pet! I love learning all I can about your pets so I can tail-or our session day. Leading up to the session, I’m in your corner, ensuring that your questions are answered and that you feel prepared for our session day.
Session Day Experience - On our session day, I hope it feels more like friends meeting up than anything else. My goal is that you and your dog feel comfortable throughout the experience. We’re there to have some fun and capture some beautiful images of your best friend. After every session, I can hardly wait to get home and see all your beautiful images! I'll get working on them as soon as humanly possible.
Post Session Photo Editing - If you ever wonder why none of the dogs featured on my pet photo gallery don’t have leashes, well, they actually DO have leashes! Just one part of my editing process is editing out your dog’s leash. I spend time hand-editing every single image of our dog to remove any people in the background, adjust for color, and so much more.
Image Reveal and Ordering Appointment - After the session, we’ll schedule a time for our image reveal and ordering appointment. Witnessing my clients seeing their session gallery for the first time never gets old! We get to ooh and ahh over every beautiful image while you narrow down your favorites.
You only purchase what you love, and we get to create beautiful, timeless artwork together. If you feel overwhelmed by designing and printing your artwork, I’m here to help! I take this task off your plate entirely. After choosing your favorites and deciding how you want to print your images, I take it from there. I use my print lab to professionally print your artwork, and I personally ensure that it’s perfect and of the highest quality.
Artwork Investment - As I said before, you only print what you love! Instead of a digital gallery with tons of images you likely won’t really look at again. You’ll have custom framed wall art or an heirloom album that preserves your images. The artwork investment depends on what you want to create! I have products that fit any budget, and I’m more than happy to help design the artwork of your dream!
